I recently moved into a house with a VERY well established raspberry bramble. Out of control and full of weeds. Anyone know how I can a) get rid of the weeds and b) thin it all out? I'm tempted to just prune it all to the ground and hope it grows back . . .

Here is a site that you should find helpful. I would suggest hand weeding after you prune the canes and get them under control. If you prune all the canes to the ground, you won't have any raspberries for this year or next year.
