We are building a 26x47 wood deck over an exsisting concrete patio. We will be building in 12x16 sections using pier block. The deck is a de-tached floating deck. How many peir blocks will we need and what is the spacing between the blocks. We do not want to put in footers?

I never put the pier blocks more then 5 feet apart. Many say I should spread them out, but at 5 feet you will have a much stronger and sturdy deck with less bounce. No footers needed.
