I have a 27" zenith tv, it's getting power but when you try to turn it on it makes a clicking noise but produces no picture or sound. Is there any help for this oldie but goody? Thanks, Rachel

nuthumby, When you push the power button, is it a single click or serveral clicks in sequence?

When I turn the tv on, there are a couple of clicks and then nothing. When you turn it off there is only one click.

ncthumpy, The first thing I would check would be H.O.T.(horizontal output transistor). It sounds like it's shorted and has the power supply loaded down, keeping the television from coming on. Their are two ways you can go with this television: 1) Have this module repaired. 2) Have this module replaced with a remanufactured module.

Will cost too much, I'll probably replace it! Maybe I'll just take it apart anyway. Been doing that since I was 14. My brothers were always amazed with a girl enjoying things like that. Thanks for all your help! rhoffman21@hotmail.com
