I would like your opinion on applying a 4 foot insulation drape around the entire perimeter of the basement for added R-value.
I am concerned about health issues in using this practice. Is the exposed insulation bad to breath? Is it safe for children to play around this drape? Will it cause condensation and mold behind it in the winter? Isn't it also a fire hazard if they use the foil or paperback type? Is the same scenerio true for crawls since most of them are considered mini-basements in new construciton?
