I have an old house that was built in the early 1900's.
It has been remodeled. They opened up the attic to add
another room. Therefore, there is only a small space of attic
upstairs. The problem is, it gets hot up there in the summer.
I bought a portable air conditioner, and it helps, but not enough.
It also gets warm downstairs when the temperature reaches
the upper 80's. The square footage is approx 1300, counting
upstairs. Could the unit be too small, or what do you suggest
for insulation, (maybe in the walls, or what?) It is central air.
Thank You
Sheila
