I need help.. When I turn on my television, everthing seems fine, but after about 15 minutes, I start to hear a high pitch noise. It is very low, but very noticeable. If the television is tapped from the side, sometimes it goes away.. But it eventually comes back. Can anyone help?
Thank you!
Ray

Would you please give us the make of the set, model number, screen size, and model year on your set? You can see the set but I cannot.

Thanks for the info. It helps!
I suspect your problem is hearing the horizontal oscillator running at 7880 Hz. The usual cause of this is bad solder connections in the high voltage circuits. Usually will find these on the flyback transformer or in that area.
A simple fix. A little 60-40 electronic solder and a low heat soldering iron will renew the solder connections and the noise will go away. I have seen this one numerous times in Japanese sets.
