I have the same problem as the person who said their tape was stuck in their TV/VCR except that I think theirs was an Emerson and mine is a GE. I tried turning the motor/gear thing for the eject mechanism and it won't budge. When I push the eject button, the power comes on and the motor spins around for about 15 seconds, the post attached to the motor turns just slightly, causing the first gear to turn slightly, but then it stops and won't move any further and then the power goes off automatically, so I can't even watch the TV. It looks like the motor could be replaced (it has a part # on it), but the screw that attaches it is underneath and I don't know how anyone could get to it (they would need a 1/2" long screwdriver). I'm not sure the motor's the problem, anyway -- it looks like the clip thing that's attached to it is where it's jammed, but I don't know how to get at that without taking off the motor.
