Does anyone know how to hang cotten sheet fabric on walls as a wallpaper. What materials should I use? How should I prepare the sheet?

Paste the wall with clay wallpaper adhesive. Let tack up a few minutes, then hang your fabric. Smooth with a smoothing brush. Use a quality trimming knife to make your cuts. If you can't find clay adhesive try some Professional 880 wallpaper adhesive.

I saw a letter to Better Homes and Gardens that someone suggested using liquid starch. She said they were in the military and moved often so this was a solution for them in non-permanent decorating. BH&G replied that they tried it and it worked.

It said soak the material in liquid starch and apply the material to the wall, smoothing it out, and it will stick. For removing it, simply peel the material off and wash the wall.

I haven't tried it myself.
