Help,

I have burnt my carpet . The piles look half singed, half melted. Is there anything at all I can do about this ?

If just the tips of the fibers have been singed, snipping them with a pair of sharp scissors may make the affected area look less noticeable. Sometimes a carpet patch repair may be required. If the affected area is in front of a fireplace or wood stove, cover affected area with a fireproof rug. Many of the synthetic fibers today tend to melt when a hot ember lands on them.
