Insulation, Radiant and Vapor Barriers - Insulation a old garage

Hello all,

I'm in the process of moving into my name house, but I notice the garage is not insulated. I'm planning on installing the insulation myself and was wondering about several items.

First is that I notice there is some air-flow from the outside to the inside of the garage. The house of the house is wood-panel and I can see light and feel air flowing into the garage. Before installing the insulation, should I vapor/water proof this area first with something to block out the air flow?

Second, upon installing the insulation... should I worry about venting the area within the walls so that mositure do not build up within the wall space that is insulated?

By your description, it appears that the garage is not weather tight, especially the siding. If this is the case, then putting insulation in would not be recommended. There are no types of insulation that could be used in this application because it might get wet.
