Flooring Tile - used CLR on marble and it stained or scratched it!

I accidently used CLR on my kitchen counter which is Marble and it left white marks every where it was sprayed. What can I do to get rid of the marks? I went over it with other cleaner which did nothing and I tried a little rubbing compound on a spot and still nothing. Any suggestions?? Thanks Cheryl The marble is light gray and white, but the spray marks show when the light hits it a certain way.

You have acid etched your marble. You may have some luck polishing out the affected area with a poultice, then sealing. Only products recommended for marble should be used on marble.
