I have 1 cable feed coming into my house. I have connected 2 different TVs to said feed. Not in series, they are split and each fed separate. They both get a cable quality picture. However, one stops at chanel 50 (and no the ADD chanel function has no effect) and then it jumps up to chanel 69. The other TV gets all chanels up to 69 but that chanel is different on each set. The set that stops at 50 and jumps to 69 is several years old. Does that indicate I need some sort of box?

Thanks

Good Morning, watchdog:

Some of the older sets didn't have the capabilities of picking up the "hyper" channels on cable and perhaps this is one of them.
Ensure your settings on the set are set to CABLE and not ANTENNA.

If this is an older set and you want to get all the channels, the quick fix is to purchase an inexpensive VCR and put it in the antenna line to the TV. Use the VCR tuner and just leave the old set on Channel 3.
