Hello, I am new here and wasn't sure if this belongs in insulation of garages, so I apologize if I am in the wrong place.
We just finished remodeling our house and the contractor left a bunch a sheetrock/wallboard. He doesn't want to come back to pick it up, so I want to use it to cover one wall of my garage. Pretty much to have the wall more ameanable to hanging things.
My wife says to insulate the wall first . I say that it is a waste. The there is no ceiling so the garage is exposed to to the rafters. Two other sides are also open. Given the fact that we live in a northern climate, the insulation would be of no value.
Thoughts?

You are correct.
Insulating a garage, especially one that has no living space above is a waste of money. About the only wall you need to have well insulated is the one between house and garage.
