Hi, on my kitchen table I have a few white spots on it. It happend just after I baked some cookies.. I thought I had the cookies cooled off enought to set on wax paper lined table. When I took off alll the cookies and paper, I had white cookies shape mark on my table. It don't feel like there's wax build up from the cookies. It happed about a year ago now..... And I thought well, lets see what I can do here.
The table is about 6 years old...
THanks

Jay:
The heat of the cookies did that to your lacquer finish - but it's easily remedied.
Make a paste of baking soda and water. Use this mixture with a damp spong to rub out the white marks.
Go over the entire table top (for uniformity) with Turtle Wax Polishing Compound and Scratch Remover - available form most automotive supply houses. This will remove the dull areas left by the rubbing, and give a nice shine to the entire top.

Strictly speaking, what I suggested is not a wax. It contains a very fine abrasive. I suggest this one in particular because I have used it myself for years and I know it works.
