Thanks for your response to my "painting upholstery" post, but I am unable to use the link. It tells me I am trying to access a page that I don't have permission to access (?!). Can you help?

"Plasti Kote and Krylon make spray paint for auto upholstery. Fabric paints are sold in 1 ounce tubes and due to packaging and cost would not be a practical solution for large upholstered area, but more so for creating designs on fabrics. You should be able to find the upholstery paint products at auto stores. Go to www.plasti-kote.com for more info. There are a limited number of colors available. Vinyl and vinyl type upholstery is not paintable. Nylon and 100% polyester are also not paintable with fabric paints. Test the paint product in an inconspicuous place before beginning. Make sure results are permanent and nonbleeding before proceeding.

Slipcovers are another option for updating furniture. Go to www.surefit.com to explore." Online discussion. Retrieved 04 June 2002. http://forum.doityourself.com/showthread.php?threadid=93338
