I have recently bought new windows which when installed, the plastic protective covering on the surround was not removed. I has been in the sun and is proving very difficult to remove. I think what I need is a solution to disslove the glue. Can any one help with this problem ???

I'm assuming that this plastic is on vinyl?
If it is, try any good adhesive dissolver like "goo gone" (available at grocery stores, big box stores, etc.).
That stuff will disappear chewing gum.
You also might try WD-40 which actually is a mild solvent.
Good luck!
