My husband and I have an older home and the previous owner(s) have placed fake brick wallcovering on some of the walls in the kitchen. It's the type of brick that is applied with some sort of black adhesive.

My question is - how do I remove this from the wall? Is there something I can use to help loosen the adhesive before I start removing it? What's the best way to get this off the wall?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

The adhesive is probably some version of Liquid Nails or mirror mastic. Forget adhesive. What you need is brute force and a pry bar. Best of luck.
