I have Brick on the exterior of my house that only goes up to the bottom of my windows. In places the brick is pulling away from the house. You can wiggle a huge piece. How can I repair this?

Wiggle the loose ones out, taking care not to disrupt other neighboring bricks in the process.Clean all old joints with hammer and joint chisel,or flat chisel.Once this is done, rinse well with water and let dry to just slightly damp to the touch.Bring your bricks to a masonry supplier for the best match if yours are broken. You can now mortar the bricks back in

This could be a symptom of footer failure beneath the brick wall. Moisture can get behind the wall and cause damage to your structure. Unless you address the reason why the brick is pulling away from the home, brick repairs and caulking will tend to be a waste of time.

Where are the bricks pulling away? Top? Bottom? Under the windows? everywhere? Are they pulling away or are they just loose and you are pulling them?
