my mother removed the border from a mobel home but can not get the glue to come off. it is not dry wall but some kind of a common wall section used on mobel homes. please help we would like to remove and then paint the walls if advised

Just get it wet and use a scrubbing pad. Particularly fierce glue may take a little liquid fabric softener mixed in a gallon of water. That should solve your problem.
