I have a number of roses and wondered if there is a spray I could make myself. The rose spray in the stores is not cheap and wondered if anyone had another alternative. I have the usual black spots and little bugs. Also, sometimes in the early morning there is lots of dew on the roses and I wondered if I am wasting the spray when the roses are wet.

Spraying early in the day after the dew evaporates is best because you want the spray to stick to the leaves. Also best if there is very little or no breeze.
If I ever have an opportunity to grow roses again, I am going with Old World, rather than hybrid, because of their disease resistance.
