I'm hoping someone can help me out. What causes leaf curl on peach trees, and what can I do about it?

Leaf curl is caused by a fungus. It can be controlled by spraying with a fungicide.

:) Thank alot. We had a mild winter, and its been a cold wet spring. My trees are very close to a pond with gold fish, will the fungacide hurt my fish and aquatic plants? I usually winter them inside, so I guess I could spray the trees after I bring them in. I'm fairly new to both, the pond thing, and the peach trees are still quite young. But boy did I get a great crop last summer. The average peach was 7.5 oz. I was estatic.

"No adverse environmental effects associated with the use of Captan have been reported. Captan is toxic to fish. However, due to its very short half-life in water, the risk to fish is minimal. Captan has very low toxicity to terrestrial invertebrates, including bees, other beneficial insects, and worms. Its very low solubility in water, coupled with its short half-life in water and soil, minimizes the possibility that it will persist in soil or contaminate groundwater through leaching." You might want to spray when there is no or minimal breeze, avoiding spraying in the direction of the pond as much as possible. If it is a small decorative fish pond, then perhaps you could cover it during spraying.
