I need advice, please. I have formed a 2ft x 4ft grid to pour a patio surface under our new arbor. I wanted to show exposed colored gravel and pieces of polished glass set in each of the grids.
The first two I've done are just not appealing looking, kind of muddy/cloudy. For the next trial I was thinking of using a wetter mix to sink the gravel and glass and waiting longer to wash away the "milk".........
anyone been succesful with the exposed aggregate technique?
thanks in advance, appreciate the advice

"About one to two hours after pouring the patio, scatter colorful pebbles over the concrete surface, pressing them firmly in place with the floater tool. Then, they spray the patio with a pre-mixed solution that will break down the surface of the concrete slightly, allowing it to be washed away and further expose the pebbles. (The mixture, which consists of four ounces of table sugar and one gallon of water, is blended in a plant sprayer for easy application.)" Egger, C. A Seat-Wall Patio. HGTV.
