I'm looking for information on how to tile around electrical outlets in the kitchen. Obviously, I will need tile under the cover plates. But, how do I move the out forward enough so that it will sit flush with the new tile?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi
What you want is the little tabs on the out let sitting on top of the tile..exactly the way they sit against the wall now. Turn off the power..I repeat..turn off the power to these switches and out lets. un-screw them from the box..pull them out to the proper distance...do the tile, and then place the tabs of theoutlets, on top of the tile..and replace the screws. Sometimes if the tile is too thick, you will need longer screws. to reach the thread inside the box, but you can get them at any hardware store.;)
