I have an old concrete patio which is over
30 years old. It is in the North East, so
I do need to be concerned with freeze thaw cycles.
I'm considering insatlling pavers directly over
the concrete slab. The size of the existing
patio is 15 x 30 feet. It does have two expansion
joints in which a 2x3 board is inserted.
Is it a reasonable to install pavers over this
slab? Its in fairly good shape, although, it does
have a few cracks in it. Would the pavers be
mortared to the concrete? Thanks in advance for
any advice on this project.
