I know nothing about this. I want to stain my patio. How do I do it easily and economically? Thanks, Lynn

I used a roller to apply a semi-transparent stain to my living room floor and now realized that this was a pretty bad idea. The finished color is full of lines and different levels of color. Is this fixable? I'm considering either a second layer of the same stain or a solid color stain. Not much of the floor is actually going to show as I plan to cover most in an area rug anyway, but I can't leave the bit that will be showing looking like this. I'm thinking the solid color is the best bet as i have a lot of repair holes from where the tack strip from the carpeting came up and it also stained a different color as well. Any help/suggestions?

never apply acid-reactive OR conc dyes w/rollers,,, who ever suggest'd that has no earthly idea of what to do,,,
no, its not fixable but you may wish to try some sher-wms 877 (?) pigment dissolved in a conc sealer now,,, you could also try removing the stain (unlikely) w/a low-rpm buffer & black pad. didn't repair the tack divits 1st ? ? ?
conc dyes may be another solution but they're opaque, not translucent.
lynn, read 1st,,, there's a cure for ignorance but it ain't easy OR economical.

then again, its difficult gaining experience from reading labels or forums but all the mistakes you'll make've already been made,,, or so it seems to me.
