[I posted this in the Baths forum, too, so forgive the redundancy if you frequent that forum as well.]

I am looking for Polyblend Sanded Caulk - PEWTER color. Custom Building Products makes it to match the grout. I called Custom and Pewter IS one of the 10 matching caulks they make.

I have searched at my local (which is 1 hour 15 minutes away) big box stores and they only have a display of about 6 of the caulk colors. I got a list of local (again 1+ hours) suppliers/dealers from the Custom Building Products website. I called a few and none have the color. One said they could order it but it would have to be a case. I only need one 10.5 oz tube.

I have searched on online building supply e-stores (including Do-It-Yourself.com's store). No luck.

I bought a black and a grey caulk that I will try to match closely if it's possible to mix caulks (same brand, same formulation except for color)--I dunno b/c I've never tried to blend caulks. But before I attempt that, I thought I would make one last effort.

Anyone know where I can find some Pewter Polyblend Sanded Caulk from Custom Building Products? If someone had a local supplier and were willing to pick a tube up, I would be willing to pay for caulk, shipping and a couple of bucks for your trouble. I have a PayPal account and if it would make you feel safer, you could offer it on ebay with a 'Buy It Now' option and I could buy it from you that way.

I would appreciate any thoughts, suggestions, comments or criticisms.

P.S: As a side note, can you seal caulk like you do grout?

caulk does not get sealed because it is already "sealed". Custom should be able to find you a distrib who bought that color of caulk in the last few months, then call the dealer and see if they will ship one bottle to you. Just call their customer service line and they can identify the dealer based on recent shipments - they did this for me when I was trying to find someone local with a specific thin set. good luck - let us know how it works out

Hi
Home Depot should be able to special order that colour for you...and one tube....not a case. If one person there tell you they can't order one tube, try someone else...you usually get a different answer.;)

Thanks for the info, y'all. I don't know why I didn't ask custom for a dealer that recently bought some--I did that before when I called Chesebrough-Ponds when I was looking for Cherry Vaseline Lip Therapy for my wife! :^)

I'll contact Custom today and HD today or tomorrow and see where it goes.
