Do you have any idea as to why my furnace is taking longer and longer to reach a set temp?. My sleep temp is set to 68 my wake up temp to 72, in the past, the furnace would normally reach 72 in about 45 min. lately, it has been taking 3+ hours.

What's going bad? It seems that it doesn't stay on long enough.
thanks!

Thanks for responding!, yes I replace the filter on a regular basis 2 to 3 months. Everything seems to work just fine, but the burner does not stay on long enough,-cyvles too frequent.

evaporator coil, if it is dirty, it could be causing the burner to cycle off. be sure the burners are cycling off while the tstat is still calling for heat. if so, it is more than likely the hi limit is taking it out. this switch cuts power to the burner when an overheat condition develops, such as restricted airflow, caused by dirty filter or coil, dirty blower wheel, or intermittantly failing blower motor.
