The blower fan on my central HT/AC unit is coming on by itself and will not shut off unless the breaker is closed or the AC is turned on and cools the house down to the set temp.. I've read previously posted ?'s similar to mine....am I having a "relay" or "tstat" problem too?

Thanks, S

You've probably got stuck contacts on a cooling relay, heating fan relay or perhaps a fan delay relay or fan/limit relay, depending on what type heat you have. The stat could have a bad switch but its doubtfull.

Thanks for the quick reply....this unit is a NORDYNE single pkg. heat pump designed for mfg. homes. 3yrs old. Sounds like I need to call my installer? S.

wire off the tstat, if fan stops, replace tstat. does sound however like a sticking fan relay
