I am a senior on the highest level in the 4-H woodworking and I want something very difficult but it needs to be nice when done. Does anybody have any plans for something?

Keith,
Here's one idea that is a bit on the difficult side, but once done can be beautiful: a chess board with drawer for storage of the pieces. Made with alternating strips of light and dark wood(say maple and walnut), it's a great project. Plans may be available on-line(do a Google.com search), but Woodsmith magazine had a good one in their Dec 2000, issue 132. Plans may also be available at a woodworking store, if one is in your area - they are rare stores in deed.
If I think of anything else, I'll return,
good luck,
fred
