I need some advice!

I have a length of carpet (20') that transitions to Linoelum. When installed a narrow metal piece was used to transition between the two materials and this transition piece needs to be replaced.

It's in a high traffic location -- living room to kitchen transition point.

I'm not sure what I'm getting into with this but I need to replace the transition strip.

Thanks for your help.

Local home centers and flooring retailers sell transition pieces. Sometimes carpet comes loose from the bar and requires restretching the carpet and retacking into the existing bar or replacing with a new bar.

Hi!

We recently had existing carpet re-stretched and a new transition piece installed....

Instead of going with metal (again), we found a nice wood piece that we used. We also had the carpet people install when they did the stretching. I know that wood will wear where metal won't just wanted to make sure you knew there were choices out there if you wanted to try something new...
