I have a cement block foundation that has developed cracks in the morter between the blocks. There is about a 1/8 inch gap between blocks where the morter has pulled away from the block over time. Any ideas how to fix this?

Do you have a similar crack on both the outside and the inside of the foundation? Is it a "stairstep" down the block wall? The crack is most likely the result of "settlement" in the foundation.
I have no idea how old the foundation is... what type of soil conditions exist... or what type of material was used in the construction of the wall. If this crack has not changed for many years, you might be able to cut out the joints and repoint them. But if they have recently shown up... and continue to spread... then you might want to consult an structural engineer or foundation repair specialist.
Sometimes projects are just too important to do yourself. This may be one of those.
Good luck.
