I desperately need help with this topic. i hear lots of people say it cant be done well and lots of people say it works spectacularly. well, what do you guys think? also, what kind of paints/materials should i use to paint a cloth couch that won't rub off or bleed on people when they sit down? i heard acrylic/latex (i assume that combination exists?) and gesso to prime the fabric. does this ound right? what would you suggest? please give me your input on this. thanks :)

There is a product that is a fabric medium. I think it is Delta Ceramacoat that makes it. You mix it with your paint and it becomes permanent on fabric. i have found it makes it kind of stiff. but it is even washable. Sounds like a fun project. Are you painting it a solid color or adding embellishments?
