I have a small bathroom with ceramic tiles which cover the entire wall surace, including the shower area. Is it possible to paint over this area? I don't need to achieve a smooth look - a faux or textured finish would be just fine. Advice please.

Begin by sanding the tile, then a TSP wash and rinse, let dry really well. Prime with Bullseye 1-2-3, Benjamin Moore Fresh Start, Insl-X Aqua Lock (all 3 are water-based and stick like crazy)...allow 24 hours to cure, then paint/technique. Inside the shower itself, if you must paint, use an oil paint for best water-shedding ability.
