I am interested in any help for building a wood fish tank stand. The tank is 55 gallons. Thank you.

deanaanton,
As you probably know, a filled 55 gal aquariom will weigh well over 500 pounds. So sturdiness is of the essence. I've built many aquarium stands from simple concrete blocks with 2x4 stretchers, to fancy cabinets with either paneling or ply surfaces.
You want to start by using 2x4 lumber with half lap joints for the frame. I usually had horizontal members at the floor level, halfway up and at the top. Almost anything you build will have to be stiffened up by at least using 1/4 or 1/2 piece of plywood for the back using 1 1/4 or even 1 1/2 inch screws.
Then you can get a bit fancier by adding paneling to the sides and doors on the front. Don't forget a couple one inch holes in the back for electric and air lines.
good luck,
fred
