I am using some 4+4's to make some boxes around my tree. I want the boxes to have 6 sides to them like a stop sign. what angle should I cut the boards at???

To form a four-sided box (with 90 degree angles) you'd cut each board at a 45.
Same principal here. You're after a 60 degree angle (360/6) so each 4X4 should be cut 30 degrees.
