Somebody please help me!!!! I have a room which is done with stucco wallpaper. A piece of the wallpaper peeled back & somebody spackled over it (so now there is a portion of the wallpaper that is flat, not textured). I have heard that there is a method I can use to somehow make that flat part look like stucco so I can paint over it without having to re-wallpaper. Does anybody know how to do this??? A friend of mine told me to glue some thick textured sand on the wall....I tried it & it looks horrible!!!!!! Again...SOMEBODY HELP!!!!!!!

"wallpaper peeled back"

If there was an apporpriate fix and then you painted the wallpaper, how long do you think the fix would last?? Patching, and painting will only accelerate the failure that has already occured. Aside from that, painting wallpaper (http://forum.doityourself.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86223) is almost always a bad idea. Your option now is to remove all of the other wallpaper and figure out what to do with your new wall. There are wallpaper stripping instructions on my site if you need assistance.

I could think of numerous ways to fix it, but they will all lead to failure and a doubling of your costs and efforts. Do the right thing. Others may take issue with my advice, but common sense dictates: Do the job right the first time. Best of luck.
