First let me say , we have lived in this house 32 years and NEVER had rust in out water. Recently had our bath completely gutted and redone. NOW we have a rusty drip spot in the brand new , expensive tub! It is going to ruin the tub if something isn't done. The man who did the work is coming to try to fix it. Someone said it was a nipple he used that is causing the rusty drip. Anyway, could anything else be causing it so I will know what to look for if he trys to say there is nothing he can do. Something his crew did caused it and it can be undone whatever it was don't you think? Thanks, NormaDean  :(

The same thing recently happened to me, and I found out they used a rusty pipe. I too would like to know what to do about this.
If you find out please let me know.
Thanks,:(

I should learn something about the problem today. The contractor called me yesterday and he "just couldn't understand why a "nipple" they used would make water rusty.! Pure old fashioned logic tells me if I had never had rusty water and now I do, it is in the remodeled bath. I will let you know what I learn. If I don't get back with you within a reasonable time please contact me. My memory is about as big as a flea and I am notorious about forgetting where I have posted something!. Norma
