i'm not familiar with enamel paint, don't know what it's true purpose is. i'm used to using alkyd oil based primer and acrylic latex for exterior uses. i used a oil based enamel primer on an exterior metal door. tried to use paint thinner to get the brush clean and it gummed up like pancake syrup, what am i supposed to use to clean the brush? what's the purpose of enamel paint?
