Hello Ken,
I've answered this question once before by someone else.
It probably can be done, but it raises some safety concerns.
Your on/off switch will be difficult to reach. And in many cases it will be underpowered for many table saw applications. And of course, it will not have a safety blade guard.
I would suggest buying an inexpensive portable table saw(Delta or another brand). Then when you realize this is not even good enough, you'll want to upgrade to a contractors' tabel saw.

Hi,
I use my circular saw a lot of times to cut down larger pieces of wood . I have a 1/4" x 2" x 10' piece of aluminum and a couple of 2" c-clamps that I use as a guide. The only thing that I really use my table saw over this method is in cuting stock generally over 1 " thick. I have 4 nice saw horses along to help. I see in your profile that you like to make doll houses. Have you considered a band saw? They are very easy to use, don't take up much room and will rip and cross cut just about anything that you could use in making the models. I'm in the market for a good saw blade guard for my table saw, as I have been using mine with an exposed blade since the fifties, but it is a very unsafe practice, as would be the circular saw as Fewalt said.
good luck,
Trent
