Hi guys... I have soft "accoustical?" ceiling tiles installed in a bathroom, apparently directly over plywood. I think they went up 20 to 30 years ago -- a bad idea in a damp room and humid climate. I would not be surprised to find some mold behind them. Questions: (1) How do I learn if these tiles harbor asbestos? And if asbestos-free, (2) How do I remove them? Thanks/Rosie13

here is a link that may help:

my guess would be you have ceiling tile that is a paper product, and stapled to the plywood.
