Working on roughing in a bedroom closet.

Is there a standard closet width? When finished, it will be 24 inches deep and have 2 sliding doors.

I'm a carpenter, and I never heard of a standard closet width. I say, the bigger the better! people never have enough closet space. The doors on the other hand have standard sizes.

Thanks J. Ran to Home Depot tonight and found out that pass-by doors run in 4 ft, 6 ft, and 8 ft widths. Which means that I will be going with an 8 ft closet.
