I am planning on installing a new patio door. I have baseboard heating running along the wall. I am on a slab. How do I re-route the baseboard heating pipe? Do I need to go over the top of the rough opening?

That's one way.....the other would involve cutting a notch deep enough to run the pipe in the floor depending on what you have for flooring and how removable it is, or you could hide it under the door sill. You can rent a concrete saw to do this.

two things come to mind....

-have you allowed for the loss of heating capacity??..that new door isn't probably as energy efficient as the wall was and you're taking out radiator to boot....

--got electrical in that wall ??
