HI, I`M THE PROUD OWNER OF MY FIRST HOME. A SMALL CAPE W/ ONE CAR GARAGE ATTACHED. THE HOUSE HAS NEVER BEEN UPDATED INSIDE OR OUT. MY QUESTION OR PROBLEM IS WETHER OR NOT TO STAY WITH ORIGINAL LAYOUT OF THE FIRST FLOOR OR GO WITH SWEEPING CHANGE. I`VE TRIED SEARCHING FOR FLOOR PLANS FOR CAPES, BUT FIND ALL NEW HUGE CONSTRUCTION PLANS. MY HOME WAS BUILT AROUND 1954. IT`S FRONT DIMENSIONS ARE 25FT. 9 IN. AND SIDE OF HOUSE IS 28FT. 9IN.. ANYONE KNOW OF A SITE W/ PLANS FOR A HOUSE THIS SIZE AND AGE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. BRETT

brett hoffman,
I doubt that you're going to find something exactly your size of home or the year it was built from any source. Possibly some libraries might have some architecture that may have plans but I have provided some links to some sites that might help with some design concepts. I suggest you consult with a designer or architect to establish a budget. If you have a budget in mind, the project will require design work within the scope of that budget to acquire your end goal. Based on what you said, you're looking at approx. 1500 sf.
