Hi All,
I am remodeling a small master bathroom (5' x9') and removed all of the fixtures including a fiberglass shower stall that was about 60" x 32". I am considering replacing the shower with either a tile shower or perhaps a tub with tile surround, or maybe a tub/shower built from mortar and tile. Looks like I would have to relocate the drain for a pre-manufactured tub. The bathroom is on the second floor of a condo complex (Southern California).
I'd also like to add a second lavatory in an alcove adjacent to the bathroom, butting up to the other side of the wall where the shower was/will be. Water supply lineas and a drain would have to be run for this.
If this is too difficult/costly, I am considering taking part of the bathroom wall out where the door is to make it more open and extending another wall. I could add the second lav on that wall and possibly use the existing supply lines and drain connection.
Any recommendations on the above choices?
Thanks,
Lee

Sounds like a fair amount of work no matter which way you go...be sure to get a few quotes and check references,if you go the contractor route, which it sounds like you may have to.
