I have a plaster wall which the paint is pulling away from. In some spots, the paint has cracked and completely fallen off the wall, leaving a gaping hole there. If I tried, I could peel the rest of the paint off the wall all the way around the room. My question is how do I repair this. It's not really a hole in the plaster and it looks like drywall mud wouldn't hold up or hold the old paint tight enough to the wall . The rest of the walls are in pretty good shape and ready to be repainted, but this spot (3"x7") is holding me up.
