I want to add more light to my log house and am thinking about skylights. I found some sites on tubular skylights and was wondering if anyone could tell me their opinions on tubulars in general. Also if they like the tubular what type would be better the flexible or stationary? Do tubulars let in as much light or more or less than regular skylights?

Skylights let in more light than tubulars simply because they are larger.
Tubulars are good for penetrating down through attics, etc., where a skylight would be difficult to install.
Both work well to let in natural light.
Just choose what will work best for you.
If you get a skylight that can be opened for ventilation, check with your Building Inspection Department about minimum distance from sewer gas vent pipes in the roof.
