Hello,
We are removing base boards so we can start our new hardwood floors. So why am I asking a question in the walls forum? Well, one of the baseboards to an outside wall was a little damp, and there was some black mold behind it. The sheet rock is still in very good condition.
Should the sheet rock be removed and replaced, or can we just reapply the base boards when we are done with the floor?
Thanks,
Hacker

I would investigate as to why the baseboard was damp before I went any further.
