Can the sliding door of a sliding glass patio door be switched with the stationary side. So that it will slide from the left-hand side (currently slides from the right)? Thanks for your help.

On some doors, yes. One thing to look at is how the lock striker is mounted on the jamb.....what the lock "locks" into....If it is set back in a mortise..a slot....then you probably can't reverse it....if the striker is a surface mount, as most are, then you can switch it to the other side and only have a couple of screw holes on the former side to fill in.

There are a couple of other things to look for, it would be best if you get someone that has put quite a few different types of doors in to look at it for a definite opinion.
