I want to, inexpensively, replace the vanity tops in my bathrooms and found a one-piece onyx top and sink at Home Depot. The width of the space is between two of the stock sizes. Can the larger size be easily cut on both ends? Special ordering my size will double the price.

Just for the sake of asking, are you in a position that some of the top could go inside a wall? The splash can still put in place and you would never know it by looking at it.

Cultured marble tops can be cut with a masonry saw. Use a square to mark your lines on the back side and cut. Cut edges will not have a gel coat on them and will not appear shiny if they are going to be exposed.
