Hi,
I have spent days on the Net searching and cannot find one site that has what I need. I hope someone can help.
I have a screened patio (open just on one side) and am looking for a solution to the rain entering. The only thing I have seen on other condos are window panels made of vinyl I think. Not really what I wanted but seems my only choice. I need then to open and close. I live in Florida and when it rains it's usually very windy so allot of rain gets on the patio.
These type of windows seem to be the only available solution but I can't find them anywhere. What words do I search under? I have tried everything I can think of.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanx,
JoAnn

Sounds like you need......WINDOWS....... :) If rain coming in thru screen wall is a problem, I wouldn't fool with a removable panel, because every time it threatens rain you're going to be putting them in.....and then removing......and then putting in....etc....
I have a Florida room ( heh..heh...that's what we call them here) that I originally screened one wall and made removeable wood storm sashes for the winter so my wife could park her deck plants ( read "weeds" into that) for the winter. That went on for several years, til I finally got tired of fooling with that and installed a bank of Andersen casements on the screen wall. Put an Andersen Frenchwood door on the corner and made it such a nice room, it has now become an extension of the living room. Added a small gas heater and we used it all year round.
Soooo.....that's a long way around to say I'd put in casement windows instead of your screens.....these give the most open area you can get with any style of window, and you can open/close with the crank of a handle. And if you want to REALLY go high tech, you can get rain sensors and auto closer motors to go on Andersen casements from Smarthome.com so they will auto close if it rains !!! ain't technology wunerful :)
